Join us for the 13th Annual Honoring the Women in Our Lives luncheon. This year the Foundation for Women (FFW) is celebrating women in philanthropy and those who support women and girls. To help us celebrate, keynote speaker Helen LaKelly Hunt, PhD., will bring her vast experience and passion for the issues affecting women and girls to help us focus on opportunities to make a difference.
Helen LaKelly Hunt is founder and president of The Sister Fund, a private women's fund dedicated to the social, political, economic, and spiritual empowerment of women and girls. Helen has helped to found a number of other women's funding institutions, including the Dallas Women's Foundation, the New York Women's Foundation and the National Network of Women's Funds (now Women's Funding Network), and Women Moving Millions. Helen has served on the Boards of Directors of the Ms. Foundation for Women, Women and Foundations, and the New York City Women's Agenda.
The Foundation for Women provides small business loans to poor women in Africa and in San Diego, helping them to improve life for themselves and their families by creating and building their own microenterprises.
This luncheon is an annual event to keep awareness on women and girls and to express our respect and gratitude to all who work to advance the cause of women's empowerment and gender equality worldwide.
Tickets: $65.00 Students: $25.00 For tickets and information about the luncheon, please contact Cory at 858-483-0400.
