Lyrics by Tim Rice Music by Andrew Lloyd Webber Directed by Jennifer Boesing Music direction by Dave Moschler
What happens when substance is overshadowed by celebrity? In JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, Judas is torn between his friend's message and the repercussions of fame. This rock opera by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice puts a modern spin on the familiar story of the last seven days of Jesus of Nazereth. The authors freely imagine the motives and the thoughts of Jesus, Judas, the Apostles and others with driving rockers, sweet ballads and a little bit of soul.
