This is not your mother's parenting class!

Let's face it: seat-of-your-pants, "instinctual," what-my-parents-said-to-me parenting just isn't going to cut it anymore, not if you're planning on raising kids who are going to thrive in this rapidly changing world.

Parenting the Millennium Kids is all about 21st Century parenting...for parents of kids ages 2 - 10. You will learn what current brain research tells us about how children learn, and how to use this information wisely, the secret to happiness...and emotional "fluency" for parents and children, sure-fire discipline techniques which do not involve stickers or counting to 3 (we call it "sit in your chair parenting").

The instructor, Beth Proudfoot, MFT, is a child therapist and parenting coach who has spent the last 25 years teaching stress management, discipline, and conflict resolution skills to parents, teachers, and daycare providers. She hosted the television talk show, "My Family, My Self," and is the author of two books on tape for parents of young children. A mother of three, Beth brings a wealth of personal experience, and a much-needed sense of humor, to her parenting advice.
