General Admission......$3 10 & Under......FREE Keiki Korner Passport..$2
Aloha! Join the Polynesian community for this cultural celebration with dance, music, food, crafts and more from the islands of Hawaii, Tahiti, Samoa, Tonga, New Zealand, Fiji and beyond!
Formerly known simply as the Aloha Fest, the Aloha Tex Fest is proud to present an exciting, nonstop lineup of the best island entertainment the state has to offer! Graceful hula dancers, electrifying Tahitian dancers, pulsating drums, ukuleles and more. This year will feature a fire knife spectacular that is sure to amaze!
This year there will be an entire children’s village called the “Keiki Korner”, keiki meaning child in Hawaiian. For only $2, kids will be given a passport to ‘journey through Polynesia’. Once in the village, kids can make a wide variety of crafts including, but not limited to, Tahitian petroglyph hangings, Hawaiian hibiscus art and New Zealand Maori bird kites. Hands on activities will allow kids to experience various island instruments, village trades and even spinning a fire knife!
Craft booths offering a variety of goods including island wear, jewelry, art, floral, and fauna will give you the real feeling of a tropical swap meet. Enjoy a variety of “local grinds” (local island food) from huli huli chicken, to spam musubi, to haupia. Of course, an annual food staple of the festival is the ono ‘shaved’ ice. Ono meaning delicious in Hawaiian, is an understatement for this favorite island treat.
Whether you are looking to relax or experience Polynesian culture for the first time, the Aloha Tex Fest will not disappoint. Do something different this Labor Day weekend…get whisked away on a tropical vacation for a mere $3!
