Info:
Eichlers and other mid-century modern homes offer unique opportunities to connect exterior landscapes to their interior spaces. Their strong geometric elements are a perfect match for architectural, lush, low water, and low maintenance Mediterranean plants. Allison Olson will explore design, plant materials, and maintenance in her power-point presentation. She will include specific plant names, sources, and planting times.
Allison Olson is the owner of Dreamscapes Landscape Design. She brings a structural approach to the field of landscaping while maintaining a focus on California outdoor living. She is an award winning landscape designer who has had her gardens on multiple tours, including the San Mateo Highlands Eichler Home Tour. Allison shares her knowledge by lecturing around the Bay Area on a number of different topics that she is passionate about: water-wise landscape design, designing with succulents, approaching design in a sustainable way while getting what you want, and designing with the architecture in mind.
