Info:
Marde Ross will share her insights on growing and maintaining daffodils, tulips, and peonies in California, illustrating her talk with slides from her archives of flower images. The owner of Marde Ross & Company, a distributor and importer of flowering bulbs since 1985, Marde will discuss peonies for a warm climate, the best tulips, daffodils that will naturalize in our gardens, and some plants that are good companions for bulbs.
Marde Ross has a private "daffodil hill" of over 160,000 bulbs on her property in Glen Ellen and hundreds of peonies that return each year. She established Marde Ross & Company in 1985, and to provide images for her catalogues, Marde began to study photography. She is an accomplished landscape photographer who travels extensively and has exhibited her work in Palo Alto, Glen Ellen, and London.
