One of America's most unusual and fun art and garden events returns with Cohn-Stone Studio's annual Glass Pumpkin Garden installation, demonstrations and sale four weekends in October at the Studios' home in Richmond. Art and Garden aficionados have thrilled at the impressive array of nature-inspired glass art including pumpkins, gourds, leaves, flowers, fruits and other works of art at venues around the country including Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA, and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. The studio, workshop and lush garden of Cohn-Stone Studios will be open to the public in October celebrating original art glass creations for autumn. Cohn-Stone Studios in Richmond, CA, began making original glass pumpkins, squash, gourds and other nature-inspired art glass for decor and garden art in 1989, igniting an international trend in art glass. Cohn-Stone remain the originals and innovators in this trend. The public can view the glass-making process and hundreds of one-of-a kind creations in the award-winning California Art Garden Saturdays and Sundays , October 8/9, 15/16, 22/23 and 29/30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A visit to the studios and gardens has been an annual autumn family fun outing for two decades.
The October Cohn-Stone open studio and garden events will feature demonstrations of glass-making and world-class art glass for every taste. This is one of only two annual opportunities the Bay Area public has to meet glass artists and learn about the process of making glass at this event where hundreds of one-of-a-kind glass pumpkins, squash, fruits, leaves, vases, flowers, strawberries and other hand-made works of art from the 2011 and 2012 collections, many of which will be on view for the first time. Attendees will have a chance to choose their family heirloom of the future to take home and cherish for generations.
