Explore the works of over 150 artists in parks, the Livermore Valley Plaza, in and around galleries, boutique shops, wine bars, restaurants, art studios and more. Art ranges from contemporary to traditional, abstract to realism, pottery to mixed media, with subject matter from floral to marine to jazz and much more.
Explore the Art Banner Silent Auction where you can see the banners that have been public art on the street poles during the month of September, and enjoy a glass of fine local wine from our wine, beer, and beverage bar at the Livermore City Center Plaza. Music will be heard throughout ArtWalk, from a special Valley SingOut mini-music festival at the Livermore Valley Plaza and Panama Red Coffee (see www.valleysingout.com for the lineup and musician background) to independent events produced by Artistic Edge, the Disabled Vets Painting Group, and the Art Glass Studios.
Special art destination offerings will include a blacksmithing demonstration at Blacksmith Square, a sneak preview of Figurehead Gallery before their grand opening later in the month, a figurative art exhibition from the Bothwell Life Drawing Workshop group, and open studios at Firehouse Art Studios, the Bothwell Downtown Art Studios, Art Glass Studios, and Nancy Saltsman's Design and Color Studio.
Maps for the event will be available online by October 4th, and will include a listing of planned art demonstrations and interactive art experiences. Highlights include Graffiti/Art - a Community Experience between Street Science Skate Shop and the art exhibits at Mills Square Park. There will be arts and crafts activities for children at Lizzie Fountain and at the Livermore Mom's booth in front of the Livermore City Center Plaza.
