Info:
John Scofield, one of the principal innovators of modern jazz guitar, is a masterful improviser whose music generally falls somewhere between post-bop, funk-edged jazz and R&B. He is joined by pianist Michael Eckroth, bassist Ben Street and drummer Gregory Hutcherson. Also on the program is Grammy®-nominated, post-bop saxophonist Ravi Coltrane, who makes his first Symphony Center appearance with his quartet. All About Jazz says, “Coltrane's tenor is more robust than ever—marked by quickness, stamina, and warmth— showing glimpses of true brilliance.”
