Travel through time. See ghosts. Hear stories. Drink to your ancestors. The Great-Grandfather Club presents Story Vault, a one night only cocktail party and art exhibition extravaganza in the heart of the Mission District. A group of extraordinary local artists have created diverse multimedia work inspired by the power of oral history, memory, and family lore. Members of the Club will be constructing collaborative installations and performance pieces, both to promote the content of the documentaries and to showcase the oral histories collected during the Club's other events. The goal of this event is to promote and raise funds for two documentaries: "Fiji Time" directed by Alexandra Lacey & "Reunion" directed by Elizabeth Cabrera.
In addition to the installation exhibition, local musicians will provide soundtrack in the gallery and on the balcony overlooking Mission Street. Local music talent from DJ Donghoon Han, Musica Delira, and Bayonics, a nine-man hip hop, latin and reggae group. An all-star group of restaurants and bars will be donating their talents, featuring signature cocktails and delicious food. There will also be a raffle for the chance to win some awesome prizes.
