SBA has listed the Minority Business and Professional Network as Networking Partner, and we would like to post this information on MBPN's Homepage.

Here is a more detailed outline of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) 7(j) Training Business Development Program.

Through face-to-face workshops and webinars O’Neal Technologies (OTI) is partnering with the SBA to achieve its FY 2009 8(a) Business Development Program goals. OTI will assist SBA in meeting its Program objectives by providing business development workshops to 7(j) eligible small businesses. There is No Registration Fees and workshops are Free for 7(j) firms to include 8(a) Eligible Small Businesses.

The goal is for 9000 plus 7(j) eligible firms to be able to benefit from the specialized training in topics important for every business to succeed which are:

• Business Development - Part 1 (Best Practices)
• Business Development - Part 2 (Strategic Marketing)
• Organization Development – Executive Leadership
• Cost and Pricing – Part 1
• Cost and Pricing – Part 2
• Financial Management
• Introduction to Information Security for Small Businesses

The technical assistance will be provided in 150 classroom settings in every district office’s territory to include 10 major metropolitan areas with a high proportion of low-income individuals. Up to 40 participants per seminar/workshop will receive training on how to make “real world” business decisions that will facilitate their businesses success.
