Many attempts have been tried in the art gallery arena, as to how to re-fresh the audience’s awareness, with much lacking success. With the ONLY On-Line exhibition, the opening has little emphasis on the major exhibition, thusly, which is the main element in determining success of a gallery’s or museum’s direction of an exhibition.

Trying to establish an ongoing dialogue and securing a blockbuster attendance, has determined the many failures of various galleries and museums. The process of maintaining a continuous remembrance of an exhibition, has propelled the On-Line exhibition phenomenon into a brand new arena.

The statistics of my ONLY On-Line exhibits, has determined the success of many of the exhibitions. Promotion and a major email base can determine the success and failure of an On-Line exhibition. Much and what is overlooked by many galleries and museums is the process of relating or spreading the word of a exhibition. The Internet has made this communication as simple as a click. One email about a certain ONLY On-Line exhibition can be delivered, distributed and viewed by 10 or more people in seconds. This process can not be obtained through physical presence of a gallery and museum.

A prime example of the power of ONLY On-Line is the exhibition titled: The African & American Sketchbooks works by African-American & African Artists born 1917 to 1961in 2007 circa April 1 - June 30, 2007, which included myself (Hugeaux), Dr. Margaret Burroughs, Aaron Ibn Pori Pitts, Dr. Mohamed Buwe Osman and Vandorn Hinnant. This exhibtion totaled 610 visitors in 3 months. This exhibit reached a total of 335 visitors within 5 weeks of a 12 week period (this article was created during this 5 week period).

The first week of the exhibition it reached a total of 75 visitors. The success of such a powerful exhibition was due to powerful draw cards (artists) and keeping the visitors updated on the viewers statistics. The more information I made known of the exhibition progress the more visitors reviewed the exhibition. Many re-visited the exhibition to study the exhibition. I know that the first viewing of the exhibition is a fast Internet surfing, to acknowledge the exhibit and to continue to surf.

The second visit, due to my making the update progression known, refined the visitors to a more cognitive and comprehensive investigation. After the second investigation of the exhibition, the visitors is now making philosophical investigation, as to the theme of the exhibition, the purpose of the exhibition, the mediums used, techniques used, reading in full comprehension of the text, period of the art and etc. At this point the ONLY On-Line exhibition has replaced the museum visit. The statistic update acts as a catalyst for the visitors to be apart of new and innovative discovery: ONLY On-Line exhibit.

Documentation means nothing without validation. Validation means nothing without case studies. Case studies means nothing without facts and figures. Most of you have traveled with me in my invention on the Internet called ONLY On-Line Exhibitions. These numbers change on a daily bases. The ONLY On-Line SKETCHBOOK exhibition has and is making history. Nothing of this magnitude has been generated with much response as this exhibition via gallery or museum.

This was created by an African American Indian, Hugeaux, in which is present due to the lack of Documentation of we artists. This is proof that the power of the Internet can not be ignored. After my oral presentation at the 2007 Ohio University African Art Conference ( lecture: The Importance of Documentation & The History of ARTE MECCO), My History of ARTE MECCO web page has gained international numbers. The Internet is the present and the future. Nothing has catapulted my awareness of the Internet as of the first SKETCHBOOK exhibition.
