Author / Content Text	During the course of history, in this great country of America, there has never been a symbolic woman of courage, honor and bravery depicted for America in art through Original American Indian and African decent. This great country of America is the only country, which I have ever known, where freedom does ring. The Africa-American Indian woman has reached as far back to great heroines as Princess Pocahontas, Mary McCleod Bethune, Diane Fletcher and daughters of great American chieftain nations as Geronimo, Osceola, Cochese and Sitting Bull. These great women heritages were meted out of Africa from such ancestries as Queen of Candace, Cleopatra, Sheba and Ruth. The great strengths and courages of these great races have birthed, nurtured, educated and again repeated this cycle through all new American lines. Their blood pump in every artery of man‘s vein, today. The great grand-mothers, grand-daughters, aunts, mothers, sisters daughters, and nieces are living prove of this strong linage. The tragedy that has befallen our great states of America on September 11, 2001, has been felt by all denominations Indian (s), African, Latin, Caucasian, Asian, Aborigine, Arabian, ..etc. Rich, poor, sons, fathers, and elders were all impacted by this great tragedy. These Ladies of Liberty symbolizes a new era in our every changing environment. Where once the hands of servants are now the minds of builders. Where once the hands of sufferance, are now the minds of freedom. Where once the hands of the illiterate are now the minds of powerful thinkers. These Ladies of Liberty were created to show how proud our American flag must wave, diversely, in order for each American to obtain his or her full liberty. ARTE MECCO, the usage of "Hyglyx" and the cactus apple dye, has keep the formula of ARTE MECCO vibrant and lively. The symbolic American Flag, expressed as a "Hyglyx" through the style of ARTE MECCO, is present through all 50 plus, paintings. The various angles of displaying the American flags is inspirational to the much versatility we Americans have been granted in America. The Ladies of Liberty and ARTE MECCO would like to think that these paintings are Icons, documenting and addressing out nation of American, when our nation is at war.
