2005 Sistah Summit

Denver, Colo.—The popular “Sistah Summit,” will host its fourth retreat, November 3rd – November 6th, 2005 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Hosted by Legacy Entertainment Inc., (LEI) the Summit encourages women from across the country to make time to nurture the most important person in their lives—themselves. Attendees are encouraged to chart a new course to the rejuvenation mecca of Santa Fe, New Mexico.

“I truly believe that women are the last to take time for themselves,” said Rhonda Jackson, Owner of Legacy Entertainment and founder of the Sistah Summit. “The Summit idea came to me as a way to encourage women to do just that—make time for themselves. How wonderful to rejuvenate, embrace nature, attend workshops and experience spa treatments. Women can come ‘as they are,’ we do all the planning, they enjoy themselves.”

For three years, the Summit has hosted more than five hundred African-American women from all over the United States. Location is what sets the Summit apart from other retreats and conferences.

“I see the Summit as the ultimate mountaintop retreat, combining empowerment, spiritual awareness and nature,” noted Jackson. “In simple terms, ‘coming out of the concrete’ of an urban setting and taking a journey into God’s country. It allows women an opportunity to ‘come and play,’ to attend to those things most important in life, and go forth to tackle life challenges with new vigor,” she added.

Jackson emphasizes that many of last year’s Summit participants experienced life-altering changes after the retreat. Many have followed their dreams, taken charge of their lives and encouraged others to do the same. “With ascension comes clarity,” asserts Jackson. “We are inviting women to journey to a higher altitude to discover their true passions and desires.”

Registration for the summit is $389 and includes Summit seminars, meals and activities including yoga, walking tours, spa discounts, cooking/home decorating demonstrations, private consultation sessions (first come basis), Summit receptions.
