The purpose of the My Hope Chest Breast Reconstruction Fund is to help restore self-esteem and dignity to breast cancer survivors by facilitating and funding breast reconstruction surgery for those who do not have adequate financial means to afford such surgery.

My Hope Chest is the only community benefit organization in the country that provides FREE breast reconstruction surgery to underserved & underprivileged women that have survived breast cancer and mastectomy, but don't have anywhere to turn for Breast Reconstruction surgery.

Unfortunately, this happens to THOUSANDS of women in this country. Insurance companies refuse coverage of mastectomies, and therefore don't have to provide breast reconstruction either. For one reason or another, plenty of women do not have health insurance, and altho emergency programs provide life-saving cancer treatments, those programs do not provide for the next step in the breast cancer healing process.

My Hope Chest partners with plastic surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgery centers that agree to accept a reduced fee for services to help women attain the goal of Breast Reconstruction.
