Minority Job Fair Brings Together Major Companies and Diverse Talent in South Florida

[Miami, Florida - January 7, 2004] - The Minority Chamber of Commerce, along with Greater Events Inc., has joined forces to organize the first job fair of 2004 for minorities in South Florida.  It will take place January 20, 2004 at Radisson Mart Plaza, located at 711 NW 72nd Avenue in Miami, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.  This event is open to the general public.

The confirmed speaker for the opening ceremony is C. J. Bland, CEO of Minority Professional Network, Inc. (http://www.MinorityProfessionalNetwork.com).  Mr. Bland will speak about the vital role and participation of minority professionals and entrepreneurs in the growth of the U.S. economy.

“This job fair will include the best companies in corporate America, across a variety of industries.  This will enable the talented and diverse individuals in attendance to be considered for a large number of senior professional and management positions,” said Douglas Mayorga, Executive Director of the Minority Chamber of Commerce.  “In addition, we will have many information centers with resources on topics such as how to establish a business and how conduct and efficient job search”, said Mr. Mayorga.

The Minority Chamber of Commerce is an organization that provides free technical services for minority job seekers in South Florida, in addition to number of other diverse programs.    In April the organization will host Spring Break Career Expo 2004, a youth job fair in Miami Beach.
