The Transportation Maintenance Division within the Department of Transportation and Development is responsible for maintenance of road surfaces, shoulders and ditches, culvert and storm water drainage, bridge maintenance, ferry maintenance, stripping, sign work, and road patching for roughly 1,400 miles of county roads.
