Org Synopsis 

The Hemophilia Foundation of Nevada is a nonprofit consumer advocacy and service organization founded in 1990 to help mee the vast education and support needs of the bleeding disorders community in Nevada. HFNV provides services statewide to over 500 Nevadans, their families, and health care providers. Its mission is to improve the quality of care and life for persons with inheritied bleeding disorders through education, peer support, and advocacy. For more information visit www.hfnv.org

Funds raised through donations and fundraising efforts provide a wide range of services to Nevada families affected by rare, inherited bleeding disorders for which there is no cure. One example of service we provide is our annual Camp Independence Summer Camp at Torino Ranch each July. For a few days each summer, kids with bleeding disorders can forget about their life-threatening disorder and have fun and play like any other child in a medically supervised, safe environment.
