Time for women – young and mature – to laugh, play, share and challenge each other to live out their true potential

Explore personal empowerment, as well as female sexuality during this Women’s Retreat presented by internationally known expert, Dr. Ruth Morehouse. She will be joined by her colleague, Dr. Susan Regas. Retreat will be held at the Sylvan Dale Guest Ranch in Loveland, October 23 thru October 26, 2008.

This Women’s Retreat is for different kinds of women - women who are single, married, widowed or divorced. Women of all sexual orientations, women struggling to balance developing a self while maintaining important relationships, whether fresh with adolescence, 30-45 something or maturing into wisdom of later adulthood.

This Retreat will address how the process of differentiation is a route to enhancing emotional and sexual intimacy. Learn to develop a more solid sense of self while becoming more effective in relationships with friends, family and co-workers. Develop greater openness and comfort in discussing sexuality and explore reaching sexual potential. Expand your understanding of women’s leadership skills.

“While women recognize the value of examining issues related to their jobs and family, they rarely have the opportunity to focus on the true depth of their sexual nature. We cover topics participants don’t normally discuss”, states Dr. Ruth Morehouse. By sharing such issues in an encouraging group, women experience discovery, challenge and empowerment.

Dr. Ruth Morehouse is a licensed clinical psychologist and is also certified as a sex therapist (Diplomate Status) through the American Association of Sexuality Educators Counselors and Therapists. She is also Co-Director, along with her husband, Dr. David Schnarch, of the Marriage and Family Health Center of Evergreen, Colorado, a world renowned relationship institute widely acclaimed for cutting- edge advances in personal development, couples and sex therapy and the home of the Passionate Marriage® and Crucible® Approaches. Based on these Approaches, Dr. Morehouse has given workshops for women, couples and mental health professionals for 20 years. She is an inspiring, zesty speaker whose presentations are conceptually exciting while still providing practical application and down to earth examples.

Dr. Susan Regas is a Professor and Coordinator of Family and Couple Clinical Psychology at the California School of Professional Psychology at Alliant International University in Los Angeles. At the University, she trains doctoral students in the area of family, couple and sex therapy, supervision and research. David Schnarch and Susan Regas have co-authored the Crucible ® Differentiation Scale and the Crucible ® Sexual Inventory and other studies looking at the effectiveness of the Crucible ® Approach. Susan is also a licensed clinical psychologist. She has a private practice in Pasadena, California where she does couple and family therapy along with supervision of therapists. She is married and has three children.
