Bucheon is proudly presenting "Oh My, a Pie" the paintings of Christian Spruell, opening Friday October 17,2008, with a reception for the artist from 6pm until 8pm.

Christian describes the show as a haphazard intentional display of whimsical grit. In the most recent chapter of paintings, the artist returns to the figurative form in brut fashion. A series of paintings that are an absurdist construction of subtle and humorous details..Influences range from early folk art and South American graffiti and Diane Arbus. Each painting is a paint lover's event in which each picture tells a story of tragedy, humor, irony and, leisure.
