Since 1955 SDAI has produced the International Exhibition, a juried show drawing interest from artists all over the world. A different internationally known juror is invited each year. This exhibition is juried electronically and in person and makes available international competition to regional & international artists. Awards are presented at SDAI's Museum of the Living Artist’s annual Gala Celebration.
Sign up today to submit your artwork in the competition. Once you have completed the online application and your credit card has processed you will receive a userID and password to access the SDAI site and begin uploading your artwork.
The international Exhibition runs
March 21st – May 10th, 2009.
Deadline for online submission by
artist is January 15th, 2009. No late
entries will be considered.

Opening Reception Gala will be
March 21st, 2009 from 6pm to 8pm
JUROR Julia Marciari Alexander, Phd., History of Art, Yale University Deputy Director for Curatorial Affairs, San Diego Museum of Art Internationally known lecturer/author. Educated at Yale University, New York University, and Wellesley College. Dr. Alexander is the author of numerous publications, academic papers, symposia and public lectures. She has received numerous honors and awards, including the Yale College Prize Teaching Fellowship. Dr. Alexander’s fellowships include: Theodore Rousseau Fellowship, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Robert R. Wark Fellowship, Horton Hallowell Fellowship, Wellesley College, The Huntington Library, Art Collections and Botanical Gardens, L’Oréal Fellowship, NYU in France.
