I began building my practice from scratch, mainly through
word of mouth. Overtime, my business has grown, and now Back &
Neck Care is in its fifth year of sharing chiropractic benefits with
others.
A major hurdle was a lack of working capitol. It is very difficult to grow a
business without the necessary revenue for marketing. This disadvantage
was overcome with persistence and many leaps of faith.
Success can be measured in many ways. Emotionally, I love what I do,
helping people to function at optimum and to be without pain through
chiropractic. Financially, it is nice to be more than comfortable and to
not be hindered by a lack of money. I think the key to my success is a genuine
compassion for my patients.
My target market is anyone with a spine. Chiropractic is for everyone.
I feel that patients are better served in my office because I use every and any
means to specifically and scientifically find the cause of their pain, illness,
fatigue, allergies, ear infections, or any other problem and take the time to
thoroughly explain my findings. I care for my patients and their well
being as a whole, not just for their symptoms.
I have learned many lessons applicable to any business. The most important are:
·
Love what you do and do what you love.
·
Be sincere and honest.
·
If you are good at what you do and can promote
yourself,
then you will make it.
·
Never compromise your values.
