Join us for the 7th Annual "Juneteenth" Celebration/Healing Our Communities Health Fair! The Juneteenth event originated in the South to celebrate the freeing of slaves. Although slavery was abolished January 1 1863, the last slaves were not actually freed until June 18th, 1865. Juneteenth is celebrated and acknowledged on this date. Area families will come together in their neighborhood to enjoy live music, dancing, food, community booths, health information and community resources, games and a kid zone designed especially for the children.
