The "Hard Hat" Awards honor an illustrious list of individuals from the private and public sectors, who are instrumental in furthering and supporting the efforts of minority contractors. Previous honorees have included The Honorable Mayor Shirley Franklin The Honorable Mayor Maynard Jackson WSB Channel 2 News Anchor, Monica Kaufman Atlanta Falcons Running Back, Warrick Dunn Chairman Eldrin Bell, Clayton County Board of Commissioners and The Integral Group CEO/Chairman, Egbert Perry and others. All award nominees are individuals who have demonstrated a commitment to furthering the efforts of minority contractors, as well as NAMC.
Equally significant, a portion of the proceeds from sponsorship dollars and ticket sales will provide funding for scholarships, which will be awarded to students who are pursuing collegiate studies in or related to the construction industry.
