This is the first court in the nation to be named for an African American man. There will be an official ribbon cutting and a portrait unveiling dedicated to the memory of the late Judge Lenwood Jackson. City of Atlanta ordinance number 05-0-1083 for the renaming of the Court was adopted by the Atlanta City Council on July 5, 2005 and approved by Mayor Shirley Franklin on July 12,2005 Please call or email to RSVP.
