As a Supervisory Mathematical Statistician (Data Scientist), some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Leads risk management, governance, and technology development for the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) Platform and Programs-duties include executive portfolio reporting, capacity planning, product owner support, risk management, contract management, training, and process management. Provides portfolio management and oversight over a broad group of programs that develop and deliver AI/ML applications to improve efficiency and enhance operations for SEC Divisions and Offices enterprise-wide-duties include leading technical teams, programming capital/operational expenditure for AI/ML applications and managing acquisition services for AI/ML solution development support. Leads a team of federal employees in documenting and implementing requirements for AI/ML project, program, and application solutions needed by the SEC Divisions and Offices-duties include customer engagement meetings for fiscal year technology investment planning, technology acquisition strategy sessions and security compliance meetings for customer applications. Maintains knowledge and awareness of the overall and rapidly changing AI/ML technical landscape and communicates to representatives from the SEC Divisions and Offices new cutting-edge technology approaches and innovations that can enhance their day-to-day operations-including prior experience in technologies such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), Named Entity Recognition (NER), and other text automation processes, text analytics, and predictive analytics. Manages a staff of Federal employees consisting of acquisition managers, contracting officer representatives, information system owners, and technical subject matter experts that provide AI/ML application support services to the SEC Divisions and Offices. Acts as a senior IT liaison and advocate for new AI/ML technology solutions that meet SEC enterprise standards and leverage shared services for the SEC Divisions and Offices. Engages with various OIT departments to reconcile architecture solutions, change management, and security compliance. Manages a portfolio of AI/ML investments and systems in accordance with the SEC Capital Planning and Investment Control guidance and the agile service delivery framework. Credit toward meeting statistical course requirements should be given for courses in which 50 percent of the course content appears to be statistical methods, e.g., courses that included studies in research methods in psychology or economics such as tests and measurements or business cycles, or courses in methods of processing mass statistical data such as tabulating methods or electronic data processing. or
B. Combination of education and experience -- courses as shown in A above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. The experience should have included a full range of professional statistical work such as (a) sampling, (b) collecting, computing, and analyzing statistical data, and (c) applying statistical techniques such as measurement of central tendency, dispersion, skewness, sampling error, simple and multiple correlation, analysis of variance, and tests of significance. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a closely related field and two years of experience providing crisis counseling and supporting volunteers; or any equivalent combination of related training and experience. Applicants within six months of meeting the minimum education/experience requirement may be considered for trainee status. A Valid Florida Driver License is required and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets the requirements of Alachua County policy #6-7; Motor Vehicle Records will be reviewed prior to employment. Position Summary This is a responsible administrative, supervisory work overseeing the Crisis Center volunteer program and staff in the Alachua County Community Support Services Department. An employee assigned to this classification is responsible for volunteer onboarding, training, and developing; implementing volunteer program for continuing education, retention, and recognition; and supervision and assistance with the Crisis Center’s direct services. Work is performed under the direction of a higher-level supervisor and is reviewed through conferences, reports and observation of the results obtained. Examples of Duties ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS This is an emergency essential classification. Upon declaration of a disaster and/or emergency, all employees in this classification are required to work. Exudes a positive customer service focus. This position will be providing case management services for patients aged 25 and older who receive health care at an Integrated Primary Health, Behavioral Health Clinic, or Crisis Center. Veterans, LGBTQ adults, and adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) will receive special priority for services due to their elevated risk for suicide. The position will include working in a primary health care setting, coordinating with medical providers, in-home visits, and transporting individuals as part of a service delivery model. This position is funded through a grant awarded to Clackamas County from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The Zero Suicide Case Manager will be responsible for coordination of care, referral to support services & linkage to resources, support during transitions of care, and ensuring appropriate follow up for each patient. The overall goal and purpose is to eliminate suicide attempts and deaths among patients served at Clackamas County Health System (CCHS) and raise awareness of suicide prevention in the larger community. Employees' Association (EA) Full Time Benefits Learn More About Benefits JOB DETAILS AND QUALIFICATIONS Clackamas County Health Centers - Behavioral Health Clinics is looking for a bilingual (English/Spanish) Case Manager to work as part of an Integrated Primary Health Care Team on the Zero Suicide Program. This position will be providing case management services for patients aged 25 and older who receive health care at an Integrated Primary Health, Behavioral Health Clinic, or Crisis Center. Veterans, LGBTQ adults, and adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI) will receive special priority for services due to their elevated risk for suicide. The position will include working in a primary health care setting, coordinating with medical providers, in-home visits, and transporting individuals as part of a service delivery model. This position is funded through a grant awarded to Clackamas County from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The Zero Suicide Case Manager will be responsible for coordination of care, referral to support services & linkage to resources, support during transitions of care, and ensuring appropriate follow up for each patient. The overall goal and purpose is to eliminate suicide attempts and deaths among patients served at Clackamas County Health System (CCHS) and raise awareness of suicide prevention in the larger community. We are looking for an energetic, resourceful, warm, and empathic individual who works well independently and as part of a team. The individual must have an excellent ability to interact with a diverse client base while maintaining professionalism in a stressful environment. Candidates will have experience working with the target patient population and in suicide prevention and care.
