Position Summary

Major Gifts Operations Associate will help advance the mission of UWCI by providing strategic project support to the Major Gifts Team members, volunteers, and donors. This includes coordinating schedules internally and externally, data entering and reporting, and overall tracking of events and deadlines for the team. Major Gifts reporting and basic prospect research will be part of the role. This role is also responsible for assisting with events involving the Tocqueville and Meridian Societies, as well as the Forever United Network (FUN)
Position Duties & Responsibilities

Partnership: Actively participate in team meetings, providing suggestions and feedback to further the effectiveness of the team fundraising efforts.
Team Support: Responsible for timely, accurate, thorough and pro-active support of the major gifts fundraising team members. Efforts include, but are not limited to the following:
Provide primary fundraising and project support.
Schedule meetings, prepare agendas and materials, track RSVPs, and coordinate logistics.
Query organizational database and extract data as requested.
Generate and run multiple accurate reports from organizational database.
Pull lapsed donor reports and send lapsed donor letters as requested.
Monitor check log for real time knowledge of individual gifts arriving in the mail and process accordingly.
Compile and type statistical reports (charts, graphs, and spreadsheets)
Managing email communication lists and mailing lists for Tocqueville Society, Meridian Society, and the Forever United Network. Pulling and organizing as needed for specific invitations and communications.
Manage the Tocqueville and Meridian Master List and cross checking with available pledge data sources.
Type & prepare correspondence, mail merges, labels & other documents.
Proofread and edit documents as needed and requested.
Update mailing lists and record bulk communications and event participation in the database.
Data tracking and reporting for Major Gifts and Forever United Network.
Request and collect data for the Major Gift Executive Summary and other executive/board reports and create the summary.
Troubleshoot and field general requests from donors and team members.
Provide donor and/or company reports and other materials for weekly meetings.
Assist with the evaluation of trends within portfolios.
Manage special event cash payments and deposits.
Track inventory & ordering of fundraising supplies not managed by logistics.
Work collaboratively with Major Gifts Team and Fundraising Team to deliver a quality experience to constituents.
Troubleshoot and field general requests from donors and team members.
Annual Goals: Achieve established goals. Work with the Leadership Giving Director to ensure goals reflect, align, and contribute to the broader goals of the organization.
Constituent Relationships

Education and/or Experience

The Position
The Director of Systems will provide leadership services related to Training Fund organizational systems, including assessments, information/data management, project & change management, policies and procedures, technology and other solutions that enhance organization functions and priorities.
The Director is a member of the Training Fund leadership team. They will work with various members of the Training Fund team and external stakeholders around data and systems. This position will play a critical role in the Training Fund's labor-management partnership and must be able to work well with labor and management on moving the work forward in the context of leveraging data and systems to highlight the value add of Training Fund programs.

OTHER INFORMATION TESTING AND SELECTION PROCESS STEP 1: Pass/Fail Minimum Qualifications Applicants must meet minimum qualifications and are currently or have been certified as a basic Corrections Officer or Jail Deputy/Officer and have completed at least one (1) year of civilian law enforcement experience as a Jail Deputy/Officer within the last five (5) years. STEP 2: Department ("in house") interview Candidates who successfully pass the minimum qualification screening of step 1 will be invited to a department interview. STEP 3: Statement of Personal History, testing (or proof of degree) and other post-offer tests Those who complete the department interview and are selected to move forward to a background investigation will also be required to complete a thorough Statement of Personal History (SPH) via our online eSOPH system. A deadline will be given at the time you are referred. This is a time intensive document to complete, do not delay in completing this document. Additionally, applicants that are not Oregon DPSST certified must take the REACT written/video test UNLESS possessing proof of a Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited institution (proof will be required). We strongly encourage candidates to also complete the Work Attitude Questionnaire and Public Safety Suitability Assessment tests requested by NTN, but the Sheriff's Office does not use it in the testing evaluation at this time. Testing for REACT is available through the National Testing Network (NTN) and can be completed online at home as well as several locations in and out of the state. There is no ORPAT test required. However, only those applicants that move forward to a background investigation will have their scores accepted to continue in the process. If a conditional offer is made, candidates must also pass a post-offer job-related physical and psychological evaluations and drug testing for the use of prohibited drugs. BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION: At any time during the application process applicants may have their background packet activated and assigned to a background investigator. PLEASE NOTE: When the Sheriff's Office directs, a background investigator will contact applicants to schedule an INITIAL INTERVIEW. The INITIAL INTERVIEW will include a meeting with a background investigator to have your photo taken, review the SPH and provide instructions on what documents need to be ordered. Background investigations may run concurrently with other testing processes. Background investigations are comprehensive, therefore they can average six (6) to eight (8) weeks to complete. Delays in processing your background investigation may be caused by not completing all entries, not submitting required documents, or references not responding to an investigator's inquiries. If at any time during the hiring process it is determined by the Sheriff's Office that the candidate does not pass the background investigation the candidate will be notified and the application will be inactivated.
