The Admissions Officer would be an integral part of the team, responsible for day-to-day execution of recruitment tactics for the YSN Office of Admissions. The Officer is responsible for: serving as a first point of contact in one-on-one interactions with prospective students; planning & leading graduate recruitment events (both in-person and virtual); hosting on and off campus events; meeting one-on-one with prospective students; oversight of student employees who support the recruitment & admissions enterprise; and participation in admissions operations. The Officer assists with developing recruitment communications materials for graduate programs and planning targeted recruitment initiatives. The Admissions Officer will also play a supporting role in admissions operations and application processing for YSN. This position will require travel domestically for Admissions-related events. Represent YSN to potential students via one-on-one exchanges, either via in-person meetings, email or phone. Serve as a first point of contact for prospective students with interest in YSN programs and engage with them in a friendly, informative manner. Plan, coordinate and attend internal and external recruitment events such as open houses, information sessions and graduate fairs for prospective students to provide information regarding all programs. Prepare and deliver public presentations promoting YSN degree programs at these events. Develop targeted communications and messaging to prospective students for use in recruitment campaigns. Assist with development and/or editing of recruitment materials such as websites, digital advertising, print or digital brochures, and other promotional materials. Assist in planning annual recruitment activity calendar, identify and assess potential venues for recruitment and manage travel expenditures against budget to assess ROI on individual activities. Develop and maintain systems and processes for identifying, hiring and onboarding student employees, and manage them to ensure they deliver effective customer service to prospective and admitted students. In conjunction with other admissions staff, assist with application processing and operations throughout admission cycle. Assist with ad hoc projects as needed at the direction of office leadership, including but not limited to: ad hoc data collection, reporting and/or analysis; recruitment event support; development or update of content for recruitment communications; website updates; maintenance of applicant and student records. Serve as a liaison with external constituencies, organizations and individuals in order to develop and maintain pipelines of prospective students into the admissions funnel. Maintain on-campus communication assets such as display cases and brochure holders or similar.

Evaluates all admissions applications, interviews prospective applicants, and independently assesses each application against a variety of factors, including the applicant’s strength, weaknesses and potential contribution to the Yale community. Determines applicant’s standing within local, national and international applicant pools. 2. Presents applicant recommendations to admissions committee. Briefs admissions committee about applicants and about schools and geographical regions as they relate to evaluation of applicant files. Determines which applicants will be waitlisted 3. Develops public presentations designed to promote Yale to prospective applicants. 4. Advises secondary school counselors, applicants and parents on the application process. 5. Coordinates alumni recruiting activities in assigned geographical areas. 6. Serves as a liaison with organizations and individuals involved in the admissions process. 7. May perform other duties assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Description
The Outreach and Marketing Coordinator shares responsibility for building a pipeline of well-prepared
and diverse applicants to UNR Med's MD and MD Pathway Programs and for recruitment programs
resulting in the annual enrollment of new students.
Responsibilities include:
• The coordination and promotion of outreach events that inspire and prepare prospective students for the admissions process by exposing them to healthcare careers and educating them about the medical school admissions process, application and program requirements, and selection criteria. Tasks include: development of informational presentations and handouts, coordinating event logistics and coordinating with speakers.
• Marketing, communications, and recruitment programs that showcase UNR Med's programs, curriculum, facilities, and research opportunities to increase the number of applicants who accept our offers of admission. Tasks include: Development and updating of admissions website, social media accounts, a monthly e-newsletter, development of brochures and flyers to promote events and use of various software platforms to recruit and provide resources to prospective applicants and admitted students.
• Supporting initiatives and engaging with external partners to develop and deliver programming that inspires high school and college students from medically underserved communities to pursue careers in medicine.
• Supervision of student employees, student interns and/or administrative assistants.
• Tracking of outreach event and marketing budget expenditures.
• Collection of data and information about event attendance to improve return on investment of outreach and recruitment strategies.
The Outreach and Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Director of Admissions, the Coordinator for Diversity Initiatives, and with School of Medicine Marketing, Communications, and Events professionals along with our partners on the undergraduate campus, regional high schools, and other organizations committed to encouraging young people to pursue STEM-focused education and careers.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to build and maintain interpersonal relationships with institutional and external partners and to build and promote events from start to finish. We seek a team member with the capacity to adapt to in-the-moment considerations, a strong detail orientation, and the capacity to independently manage events. Important skills include being able to develop creative digital content for the web and social media accounts, and the ability to communicate effectively in writing as well as verbally one-on-one and in front of groups. Other qualities include a passion for education and for working with students from underrepresented backgrounds, a service orientation, a collaborative team-based work style, and alignment with UNR Med's core values.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and two years of related work experience OR
Master's Degree and one year of related work experience

The Outreach and Marketing Coordinator works closely with the Director of Admissions, the Coordinator for Diversity Initiatives, and with School of Medicine Marketing, Communications, and Events professionals along with our partners on the undergraduate campus, regional high schools, and other organizations committed to encouraging young people to pursue STEM-focused education and careers.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to build and maintain interpersonal relationships with institutional and external partners and to build and promote events from start to finish. We seek a team member with the capacity to adapt to in-the-moment considerations, a strong detail orientation, and the capacity to independently manage events. Important skills include being able to develop creative digital content for the web and social media accounts, and the ability to communicate effectively in writing as well as verbally one-on-one and in front of groups. Other qualities include a passion for education and for working with students from underrepresented backgrounds, a service orientation, a collaborative team-based work style, and alignment with UNR Med's core values.

The selected candidate will be responsible for serving as spokesperson for the county, with responsibility daily for coordinating, developing, and evaluating content to share with a broad range of audiences using diverse, modern platforms. The Public Information Officer is a highly visible position responsible for public and media information and communications to increase awareness, understanding and involvement in county programs, activities, opportunities and resources. The PIO writes, edits, and/or disseminates all county media materials, including press releases and supporting materials. The Public Information Officer participates as a team member in originating communication ideas based on the needs of the public, Board of County Commissioners, County Administrator and employees, and serves as the initial resource to the public in contacting the county and its departments. The Public Information Officer also monitors Board of County Commissioner meetings, identifies pressing topics in need of Public and Government Affairs Department support, and is available 24/7 monitoring media requests. This position serves a key role in the county in coordinating and directing communication plans and public information methods for various county departments. This will require a candidate with proven knowledge of effective business communications, industry trends and media practices as they apply to carrying out public information and public affairs programs. The PIO is responsible for news conferences, briefings, community events, and media interviews, including on-camera interviews. The incumbent must be able to develop and maintain relationships with media, stakeholders, and diverse communities to connect the people of Clackamas County and to create original and compelling content to further tell the county's story through the use of traditional media, social media, and web-based methods of communication and engagement. The mission of PGA is to provide public engagement, intergovernmental and legislative relations, and consultation and communication services to the public, the Board of County Commissioners and all departments so they can build connections and trust between people and their government. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE The ideal candidate for this position will demonstrate a passion for effective communications, public involvement, business and/or media relations with a history of excellent judgment under pressure. We are looking for someone who can successfully present the county's message in front of a diverse array of audiences and is able to employ crisis and risk management communication techniques and best practices. The ideal candidate will be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management and staff, elected officials, and the community to best represent Clackamas County. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of the principles and practices of public administration, including the maintenance of public records and media news releases. This position also requires familiarity and experience with community involvement and the ability to establish cooperative working relationships and participative processes with community organizations and county residents. WORK SCHEDULE This position is included in the County's alternate workweek program, working 40 hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Thursday and a flexible schedule on Fridays.
