Local sewing teacher Amy Auerbach is returning in November to stitch up some skills, spark your creativity, and inspire a little love for the planet! Join us for our second 4-week sewing series on Tuesdays in November-designed for beginners and refreshers alike. Together, we'll cover the basics of hand and machine sewing with a special focus on sustainability.
You will: Get to know your way around a sewing machine (provided) Gain confidence with simple repairs and alterations Learn how to give clothes a second life and reduce textile waste Create a project using textiles from your own wardrobe or household
All materials + equipment provided.
Instructor Bio Amy Auerbach is a passionate sustainable fashion artist and advocate committed to maximizing materials to their fullest potential and reducing textile waste. Through teaching sewing and organizing mending clinics, she embodies sustainability in action, demonstrating fashion's potential as a transformative force for good. Her inspiring projects focused on upcycling can be found at @auerstyle.
