Take your Mah Jongg skills out for a test drive in this class that is perfect for newer and more experienced players alike!
Whether you're aiming to win more games or simply get comfortable with the 2026 card, this class will help both newer and seasoned players navigate the 2026 National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) card with confidence and skill. The class will include a short presentation followed by Open Play with guidance as needed.
The session will highlight:
-New patterns on the 2026 Card (beyond the Pung-Pung-Kong-Kong options) -Strategic insights to help select the right hand based on your tiles and potential pitfalls -Back-up hands and pivot options
Please bring your 2026 NMJL card if you have one. Tile sets will be provided, and a limited number of cards will be available for use. The class assumes you know the basics of how to read the card and the flow of play. If you are interested in a beginner class, we are offering a 2-session introduction on May 5 & 12. You may be asked to rotate tables or pair up so that everyone has a chance to play.
Prerequisite: Completion of a beginner class or familiarity with the basics of American Mah Jongg.
