Info:
Not many people can think of Mexico without conjuring up the usual stereotypes of a land inhabited by people that wear funny hats, eat tortillas, speak Spanish and play mariachi music. Well, those views will be partly confirmed during the International Mariachi and Charrerķa Festival in the city of Guadalajara in Jalisco state.
Jalisco is considered to be the cultural capital for this sweet serenading music. The festival, held each September, is the proof, and past events have attracted around two million visitors
