Women for Positive Communication & WPC'S Extra Ordinary Gentlemen |

WOMEN FOR POSITIVE COMMUNICATION is an efficient, financially sound IRS- designated 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. Founded in 1982, our agency has always met each annual campaign goal with honor and pride. Our 2008 goals have been met. Annually we have over 44 volunteers who work diligently to ensure that funds are raised. The funding raised supports our budget which disburses funds to our main program.
The purpose of WPC is to promote the health and welfare of the community by WPC emphasizing our main objective to provide “care packages and community outreach services donating food and care baskets to low-income families.
Women for Positive Communication is located in Santa Clara County we provided services to Santa Clara County, Alameda County, San Francisco County and the San Francisco, East Bay and South Bay Areas.
MISSION STATEMENT: "Women for Positive Communication (WPC) is a nonprofit community based service organization. WPC accomplishes this goal by hosting annual fundraising events and securing grants from corporations and other organizations. WPC strives to be a positive influence in a diverse community".
Women for Positive Communication (WPC) volunteer members both male and female, give back to our community by providing community outreach programs, scholarships, and by partnering with other Bay Area Community based organizations to help make a difference. WPC considers its members to be a distinguished group of highly motivated and highly energized individuals who diligently volunteer their time, energy, and services to make a difference in their community.
Women for Positive Communication (WPC) collaborate with multiple community partners to maximize our use of grant funds through coordination of services to our targeted population. A few of the community partners are: Tabia Theater Ensemble,
Select Men Group, Eta Sigma Lambda Chapter, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. South Bay Nurses Association, the Betty Boop Breast Cancer Three Day Walkers, and the National Association of Engineers

PROFILE OF NORTHERN VOLUNTEERS GROUP (NVG) Northern Volunteers Group (NVG) is a non profit volunteer’s organization based in Tamale, city in the northern part of Ghana. The organization is non partisan, non tribal, non religious which is duly registered with registration number G.22, 088 under the confine law f Ghana. We seek to maintain a well balance between adults, children and the disable people. We do this by providing and supporting them with sound opportunities so as to better their lives. Our organization is made of members of the community and international volunteers who are in depth with voluntary ideas and willing to contribute their quota to the development and training of our people in the region, which is considered to be less developing in terms f education as well as been a poverty region. |

Silence the Violence |

Silence the Violence (STV) is a 501(c)(3) committed to empowering teens through music, art, sports, and technology to create positive change, embrace diversity and promote tolerance and harmony. STV provides teens access to programs that build self-esteem, promote awareness, build on their creativity and practice non-violence. We give teens a voice to address the issues they care about and help them find solutions to their problems.
STV’s teen advisory board, H.U.S.H. (Heightening Unity and Support Toward Harmony), gives teens the chance to get involved by voicing their opinions and thoughts on youth violence in their communities and schools, and what they can do to create change. STV believes that through creative outlets we can attack youth violence head on, giving teens the tools they need to grow into successful role models and leaders. We are passionate about joining the fight against youth violence and we encourage everyone to take a stand in saving our children’s lives. |

Unwed Mothers of Illinois, Inc. is a humanitarian agency promoting personal growth and community development. We offer a variety of aid to single mothers, youth, and underserved communities through counseling, workshops, and emergency assistance.
Client Services: Comprehensive Counseling offered for families, individuals, and youth. Support Group a resource for substance abuse, sexual abuse, child abuse, and parenting. Gifts-In-Kind donates hygiene products, household items, school supplies, non-perishable foods, and clothes. Workshops promote awareness and prevention on issues affecting daily lives. Community Events bring fun, music, games, free meals, and free medical checkups.
Emergency Assistance Hot Line: Crisis Response Team services include counseling, shelter referrals, and disasters.
Teen Pregnancy Prevention:Young people need to be told the truth—why it is important to develop healthy relationships that are based on friendship rather than physical attraction. |

The Scientology Volunteer Minister Program is a worldwide grass-roots movement open to anyone who recognizes the world needs to change and who wants to make a difference.
The Volunteer Ministers have become a major disaster response force over the past two decades. Since 9/11 2001 New York, our numbers have doubled, redoubled and doubled again. Now 60,000 strong, and spanning all continents, in the past year alone we have provided nearly 3,000,000 hours of real help to over 1,500,000 people.

The 100 Black Men of Atlanta is now one of 103 chapters across the United States, the United Kingdom, the Bahamas, Africa and Jamaica. Together these chapters make up the 100 Black Men of America, Inc. which is also built on the tradition of self-help and is a permanent fixture in the African-American experience as well as a key factor in the Black community's survival in an often oppressive society.
Each chapter of 100 Black Men sponsors educational and economic development, mentoring, health & wellness and other community initiatives that focus on and address specific local and/or regional concerns. |
