The Instrumental Women Project is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) program of the National Heritage Foundation. The Instrumental Women Project is established to educate the public about the role of women in jazz, as instrumentalists; to provide opportunities for instrumentalists to showcase their talents, to develop and support music training programs for female youth and to ensure that women are recognized for their longstanding roles as master musicians in the historical and current development of the American jazz art form. |
