Ballethnic Dance Company will perform its original ballet “Urban Nutcracker,” an imaginative ethnic twist on the traditional "Nutcracker" ballet, at the Ferst Center for the Arts, Nov. 18-21, 2004. Enjoy an inspired journey down 1940s Sweet Auburn Avenue in Atlanta with this popular holiday classic. This vibrant production is fast-paced, upbeat and has a cast of colorful characters including the Reggae Rag Dolls, Coca-Cola Workers, Tumblers and Brown Sugar. Performances are scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 18, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 20, 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 21, 2 p.m. Tickets are $22 for senior citizens, students, children and groups of 10 or more and $29 general admission. VIP tickets are $52 and include reserved seating at the performance on Friday, Nov. 19 and admittance to the post-performance reception that same evening.
