The festival features a Friday Evening Salon at 6 p.m. with a pre-concert discussion, a wine and cheese tasting and a 7 p.m. recital by the Alys Stephens Center Chamber Players: Yakov Kasman, piano Denise Gainey, clarinet Karen Bentley, violin Michael Fernandez, violin Dennis Parker, cello. Friday Salon tickets are $35. Next is Saturday Afternoon Kids Play at 3 p.m., led by Kevin Chance, piano instructor at the Alabama School of Fine Arts (ASFA), with ASFA and other area students. Kids Play tickets are $15. The festival continues with Saturday Evening Salon, a 7 p.m. recital by Borealis String Quartet, an ensemble praised for its dynamic performances, passionate style and refined musical interpretation. Saturday Salon tickets are $35. The festival finale is the Sunday Musical Brunch at 1 p.m. Musical Brunch tickets are $40. A weekend package including admission to all events is $100. The ASC plans to make the Festival an annual event.
