Georgia Businesswoman to Speak at Congressional Black Caucus Legislative Conference

Daniels will speak on the status of black entrepreneurship, avenues for improving the economic conditions for business expansion and community support. Dubbed by Caucus organizers as one “of the brightest thinkers in the world on topics of urgent concern to African Americans,” Daniels will share the stage with pillars of the African American community that include Robert Wallace, author of “Black Wealth: Your Road to Small Business Success” and Economist Kelvin Boston who hosts the PBS special “Moneywise.” Other invited guests include Earl Graves, publisher of Black Enterprise magazine, Princeton University Professor Dr. Cornel West, author of “Race Matters” Lance Freeman and many other pivotal voices of the black community.

The Conference convenes Sept. 6 through 9 at the Washington Convention Center and opens with a status report presentation on the growing number of black businesses which now numbers over 1.2 million and nearly $90 billion in collective resources. The agenda will proceed to address issues of poverty and race crime, legislative matters, investing and more.

Daniels heads Daniels Communications Group, an ethnic marketing firm that provides consultation services to corporations and government agencies on how to better understand and cultivate relationships with the trillion dollar multi-ethnic consumer community.

As an entrepreneur, Daniels has won numerous accolades as a successful business owner and also penned the work, “The Enterprising Entrepreneur: 10 Powerful Life Lessons for Achieving Business Success” carried by Barnes and Nobles, Books a Million and several black-owned bookstores. Locally she hosts “The Onyxx Report,” a 30-minutes business and news program that airs on Comcast Chanel 7 in collaboration with Bethesda. The program addresses business issues and news events pertinent to the minority community while also affording work-related opportunities to students at the Bethesda Home for Boys.
